Washed Blue Jeans
Most guys will have a pair of washed blue jeans in their wardrobe, and with that sometimes comes a mentality that they are reserved for more casual occasions. While half of this is true, a pair of washed blue jeans when styled right will go above and beyond as a wardrobe staple.
With a Brown Loafer/Dress Shoe

A smart leather shoe or boot can be worn with a blazer or coat to bring a more formal edge to an outfit that would otherwise be casual. True to our classic black and blue rule (these colours clash when worn together), a pair of washed blue jeans simply look better with brown leather footwear. On top, this allows you to play a bit more with colours in the same tones as the ones you’re already working with. For outerwear, try a navy shacket, or a cream knit to tie in some brown leather boots. If you’re wearing a belt, make sure to match the belt to the colour of your leather footwear (or at least the same tone).

With washed blue jeans, you can use the top half of the outfit to play around with the formality of your outfits if you’re wearing more casual footwear. Wearing some sneakers also allows you to wear more casual pieces on top, like tees and sweats. Here you can play around with colour, like a sage green tee or a coloured piece of outerwear like our mac jacket over a button-down.
Remember, if in doubt, white and grey will always pair well with your washed blue jeans!
